Sonderhoff auf der Fakuma: Vollautomatisches Dichten und Formen
FERMASKIN ist der Markenname der neuesten Dichtungsschaum-Entwicklung, die die Sonderhoff Chemicals GmbH, der Marktführer für FIPFG (Formed-In-Place-Foam-Gaskets), in 2009 bereits auf verschiedenen Messen vorgestellt hat - und dies auch noch auf der Fakuma vom 14. - 18. Oktober 2009 in Friedrichshafen machen wird.

Neue Dichtungslösung kombiniert Schaumkern mit Außenhülle
Ein neuartiges Dichtungskonzept, bestehend aus einer Elastomerhaut, die einen Schaumkern umhüllt, soll Verarbeitern gegenüber nicht geschäumten elastomeren Dichtungen gleich ein ganzes Bündel Vorteile bieten. It was a pleasure to us...
For the first time Sonderhoff exhibited at the M-Tech fair in Tokyo and at the NPE Plastics fair in Chicago. Both participations were a great success. On both exhibitions a Sonderhoff Engineering dosing- and mixing system was presented, processing Sonderhoff Chemicals polyurethane foam gasket.

Sonderhoff USA subsidize "the Elgin cycling classic"
The City of Elgin has been selected to host a stage for the International Cycling Classic & Superweek Pro Tour, held July 9-26, 2009. Cyclists from all over the world come to compete in this 17-day event series held in 12 center cities throughout Illinois and Wisconsin.
The Sherman Health Elgin Cycling Classic will bring back its famous "road race" on Sunday, July 12, with the course starting and ending in downtown, making a 6-mile loop through the residential neighborhood and commercial corridor of Rte 25 northeast of downtown.

It was a pleasure for us...
Already for the second time, Sonderhoff participated at this years Auto Shanghai show, which was held from the 20th to the 28th of April 2009 in the Shanghai new International Expo Center. On this exhibition Sonderhoff’s dosing and mixing unit DM 404 was presented, processing FERMAPOR material on flyers showing the Chinese map. The exhibition allowed Sonderhoff to evaluate many new and interesting contacts in the Asian markets, which are potential customers for the future. The fact that Sonderhoff has now opened their own subsidiary in China was gladly registered by our customers.

Kunststoffe.TV - broadcasting from the Hanover fair 2009
The online portal Kunststoffe.TV produced an interesting broadcast for this years Hanover fair, where Sonderhoff presented two German debuts.
In this context Kunststoffe.TV also interviewed Mr. Krämer, sales manager of Sonderhoff Chemicals GmbH, who introduced the newest innovations from Sonderhoff.
Exhibition feedback:
Several requests and conversations with potential customers about sealing technology, showed a high interest in our products and our technology. Especially visitors from this year’s partner country Korea but also from European countries were frequent guests on our booth. This again proofed: If there is something in motion, people stop to take a closer look.
We would like to thank all our visitors and hope to welcome you again at future exhibitions.

It was a pleasure for us...
For the first time the Sonderhoff Group participated at the Plast Milano from March 24th to 28th 2009.
Two world debuts were celebrated and introduced at the same time: FERMASKIN, the new developed material from Sonderhoff Chemcials and the four component mixing and dosing machine DM 404 from Sonderhoff Engineering. This novelties and the very nice designed booth attracted many visitors.
This way many interesting contacts could be established newly.

Sonderhoff now in China
The growing market in Chinas plastic industry and the high demand for service and support is the reason for Sonderhoff, the leading system supplier for sealing technology, to establish an own company based in China.
Sonderhoff (Suzhou) Sealing Systems Co. Ltd., starting May 1st, will help us to further fulfil our high quality standards and match the requirements of our customers for polyurethane and silicon material, as well as dosing and mixing units.
The headquarter of Sonderhoff (Suzhou) Sealing Systems Co. Ltd. is located in the Singapore Industrial Park (SIP) in Suzhou, the second largest industrial park in China. In the approx. 2000 m² sized building, dosing and mixing units from Sonderhoff Engineering are placed, ready for contract gasketing services. The team of 12 motivated specialists is also prepared for technical services, machine maintenance, spare parts supply for existing machines and training programs.

The new generation of sealing technology
FERMASKIN is a two-component polyurethane foam gasket with a flexible elastomeric and protecting skin layer.
FERMASKIN will be processed like all other two-component polyurethane foam gaskets by use of low-pressure mixing and dosing units and is applied directly onto the part.

Dr. Alfred Link (Geschäftsführer von Sonderhoff Chemicals GmbH) in den FSK Vorstand gewählt.
Zu seiner ersten konstituierenden Sitzung traf sich der neu gewählte Vorstand des Fachverbandes Schaumkunststoffe e.V. FSK in Frankfurt. Nachdem Ina Knoke-Strunk (Polyform Kunststofftechnik GmbH & Co. KG) und Michael Gierlichs (ehemals VITO Irmen GmbH & Co. KG) nicht mehr für den Vorstand kandidierten, wählte die FSK Mitgliederversammlung Dr. Peter Gansen (Otto Bock GmbH) und Dr. Alfred Link (Sonderhoff Chemicals GmbH) neu in den neunköpfigen FSK-Vorstand. Die Mitgliederversammlung hatte aufgrund der wachsenden Themen und Aufgaben beschlossen, den Vorstand nicht zu verkleinern.
Eine sinnvolle Aufgabenteilung im Vorstand, um die Vernetzung mit den FSK-Fachgruppe zu erreichen, stand nach Angabe des wieder gewählten Vorsitzenden Albrecht Manderscheid im Mittelpunkt der ersten Vorstandssitzung. Manderscheid selbst wurde durch die FSK Mitglieder zum 7. Mal für weitere 2 Jahre als Vorsitzender gewählt.
Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt des FSK Vorstands-Treffen war die aktuelle wirtschaftliche Situation und die Marktentwicklung sowie Fremdfinanzierungsfragen der Branche. Die aktuelle Lage sei nicht befriedigend, aber nicht für alle Branchen extrem schlecht. Die Automobilzulieferer im FSK treffen die Absatzeinbrüche bei Automobilen besonders hart. Der Vorstand beschloss zudem weitere Verbandskooperationen und eine Strategie zum engeren Schulterschluss mit Kollegenverbänden auf europäischer Ebene. „Synergien nutzen und Kosten sparen bei zunehmenden Aufgaben wird wohl die Strategie für Verbände der nächsten Jahren lauten“ kommentiert FSK-Geschäftsführer Dr. Hans-W. Schloz die Zielrichtung nicht nur im FSK.

Sonderhoff USA Brings the Legacy of its Parent Company to North America
While its global headquarters in Germany celebrates a 50th anniversary, Sonderhoff USA in Elgin, Ill., is solidly proportional at one-tenth the age of its parent company-proportional because approximately one-tenth of Sonderhoff's worldwide business in all industries is in the U.S., explains Holger Huelsken, president and CEO. "We provide all customer support-application field engineering, technical machine service, contract gasketing and material production-here in the U.S.," he says. "We employ mechanical, chemical and electrical engineers, but our global company is approximately 200 employees in 14 different countries."

Kunststoffe.tv contribution to the Fakuma 2008
The online portal Kunststoffe.TV made an informative contribution at this year’s Fakuma, where Sonderhoff was represented with a newly designed booth and presented individual solutions for automation systems for gasketing, gluing and potting.
In this context, Mr. Fischer, Marketing Manager of Sonderhoff Holding GmbH, was also asked about the importance of the Fakuma. In his interview, Mr. Fischer emphasised how important the Fakuma is for Sonderhoff regarding medium-size companies especially in the Southern Germany region.

We are ready to measure up – the Bank of America Chicago Marathon 2008
The Bank of Chicago Marathon is well-known for its fast, flat route through Chicago, which provides a great deal of potential for new personal, route, or world records. Our employee Jens Hasenjaeger ran the marathon for Sonderhoff and is one of the 32,000 runners who successfully completed the 26.2 miles. Congratulations!
